You will be met by your Tour Manager at the arrivals hall for a short transfer to your hotel in the heart of Athens. In
the evening your tour manager will take you through a short orientation walking tour to the Plaka, the old city of
Athens. You will have time at leisure to enjoy some shopping and dinner on your own.
Day 2: Athens and Corinth
After breakfast at the hotel, we begin our day with a panoramic tour of the city to see the House of Parliament on
Syntagma Square, the Evzones in their picturesque uniforms, guarding the Presidential Palace and the Tomb of the
Unknown Soldier. We will also see the Library, the University, the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympics of
the modern era were held, the temple of the Olympian Zeus and Adrian’s Arch. We continue with a guided visit of the
Acropolis to see the ruins of the Parthenon, Erectheum and Propylae. Afterwards, we will ascend Mars Hill where
Paul spoke to the ancient Athenians about the one and only God. From here we have an excellent view of the Ancient
Agora; former centre of Athenian public life. We will stop in the Plaka area where you can enjoy lunch on your own.
In the afternoon we continue our tour with a visit to ancient Corinth. Here, under the shadow of the towering
Akrokorinthos, St. Paul preached and lived for two years. The vigorous and mostly Gentile Church he founded here in
50 AD caused him much grief and prompted him to write at least four letters to the Corinthians. Visit the ruins of the
ancient city where Paul worked with Aquila and Priscilla. See the remains of the first century shops, the agora where
Paul’s trial by Gallio took place, the Fountain of Peirene, Temple of Apollo and the Bema. In the evening we return to
the hotel in Athens where you will enjoy your hosted welcome dinner. Breakfast, dinnerwww.stanleyhotel.gr

day cruise through the Greek isles and Turkish coast. Our first port-of-call is Mykonos; the whitewashed streets and
windmills of this Cycladic island will simply enchant you. Mykonos combines in a unique way the luxuriant and
sophisticated lifestyle with the simple and yet charming life of a Cycladic Island. Free time to stroll the winding

Situated in a small valley, the humble chapel lies on the site of the little house where the Virgin Mary is believed to
have spent her last days. Your guided walking tour will take you through one of the most magnificent excavations in
the world. See the Odeon (concert hall), the Fountain of Trajan, the steam-heated Baths of Scolastika, the Temple of
Hadrian and the Latrians, the Library of Celsus and The Great Theatre, the largest one in antiquity with a capacity of
24,000 seats where St. Paul preached. Depart for Patmos at 12.00am Estimated time of arrival at Patmos:
16.00pm.This island is known as the site of the apocalyptic revelations of St. John the Divine, written here during his
exile from the Roman Empire. The cave where he lived is near the site of the Monastery of the Apocalypse. The
Monastery of St. John, built on one of the island’s highest points, houses priceless icons and manuscripts in its
Treasury. Start the tour from the port of Scala and drive to the central part of the island Chora which is the location
of the Majestic Byzantine Monastery of St. John the Divine, built in 1088. Your sightseeing will first bring you to the
Grotto of the Apocalypse, and then to the windmills of Chora, once upon a time the landmark of all Aegean Islands,
from where you will enjoy a beautiful view and have the chance to take photos. Afterwards, continue around the
island to see its landscape of outstanding natural beauty comprising of rocky hills, dozens of tongues of land
reaching out into the sea, tranquil beaches and many picturesque inlets. Before arriving at the port, a stop of 10
minutes is made at the square at Kambos in the north part of island. The tour ends at the port of Scala to enjoy free
time in the quaint and picturesque little town. A refreshment or a coffee will be offered at Arion Cafe, the oldest and
most beautiful cafe of the town. Depart for Rhodes- estimated time 21.00pm.
Day 5: Rhodes
Arrive in Rhodes this morning for a full day spent on this magnificent island. The port of Rhodes was once dominated
by the Colossus, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. You have the opportunity to take a tour of Rhodes
within its high walls and through the narrow, winding streets. The castle of the Grand Master of the Knights and
many other gothic places are still in remarkably good condition. You may also want to take an optional tour to Lindos
where you can see the Acropolis, an exquisite site with its beautiful Temple of Athena Lydia. St. Paul is believed to
have landed here in a small bay at one side of the cliff foot. Breakfast, lunch, dinner on board
Days 6: Heraklion to Sntorini
Estimated time of arrival at Crete (Heraklion): 07.00am. Heraklion is just three miles away from the fantastic ruins of
the Palace of Knossos. Discovered in 1899 and partially reconstructed, the elaborate Palace is believed to be the
mythical Labyrinth of King Minos and the seat of ancient Minoan culture. The tour begins from the Venetian lion-
guarded port of Heraklion with a
drive through the city to the famous wine producing area of Peza, south of Heraklion. The drive is through
breathtaking landscape of countryside and vineyards as old as Minoan times. The first stop is a modern winery,
where you will see the updated methods of wine making and sample some of the delicious Cretan wines. The drive
continues through rural villages to the village of Archanes, the municipality in the area. On the way, a photo stop is
made at Vathypetro to view one of the oldest farmhouses in Crete, dating to the Minoan period 16th Century B.C..
The tour continues through the island’s hilly countryside where olive groves and vineyards existed from as far back
as 4,000 years. Arriving at the village of Archanes, which is situated 10 km south of the Palace of Knossos, you will
visit the quaint market town of Archanes characterised by many restored sandstone houses dating from the Turkish
period. At a taverna in the village’s tree-shaded square, you will sample an assortment of Cretan snacks and locally
produced wine, and have a chance to mingle with many of the locals themselves while listening to typical Greek
music. You will have free time to browse before the return drive to the port of Heraklion and the ship. 11.30am:
Depart for the island of Santorini 16.30: Arrival at Santorini. The island of Santorini is perhaps the most breathtaking
of all the Greek Islands. In the town of Thira white-washed houses, narrow streets, open-air cafes and glittering
boutiques cling to steep cliffs, accessible by cable-car or mule. Driving along the road you will have the unique
opportunity to admire the panoramic view of the Aegean Sea and the neighbouring islands. A unique sight is the
various layers of lava that can be seen on the face of the rock, each layer being another phase of the activity of the
volcano. Built on the Caldera rim, Oia Village is an excellent example of Cycladic architecture. Explore the village
walking along the cobble-stone streets and the white washed houses with blue shutters where one gets the
impression that they are a beautiful travel poster. Your excursion will end in Fira where your guide will show you
the way to the cable car and you will make your own way back to the ship. Depart for the port of Lavrion,

Day 7: Delphi and Kalambaka

the Hellenic world. On the slopes of Mt. Parnassus, in a landscape of unparalleled beauty and majesty, lie the ruins of
the sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. You will visit the site and the museum. You will have some time at leisure for lunch
in Delphi and then continue on to Kalambaka where we will spend the next night. Tonight you will be treated to a

Day 8: Meteora and Veria
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel in Kalambaka before you head out for Meteora. You will visit Meteora monasteries
perched on the top of the huge rocks. How the monasteries were built on the top of these virtually inaccessible rocks
is a subject of fascination for pilgrims and visitors alike. The monasteries with their wooden galleries and corniced
rooftops, crown the summits of these formidable pinnacles, precariously hanging over the sinister abysses with the
Pindos mountain range and the vast plain, woods, gorges and picturesque villages below, these unworldly
hermitages compose one of most breathtaking sites of earth. From the 12th century onward, monks and hermits
began to retire to the recesses in these immense grey rocks of Meteora and in the 14th century a large monastic state
began to develop, which in the 16th century numbered 24 monasteries. Only five of these are still occupied and you
will get a chance to visit two of them. You will have time for lunch on your own before we depart for Thessaloniki
In the afternoon we drive east to Veria, the Berea of the New Testament built on a terrace on the foot of Mt. Vermion.
Here we visit the modern Monument, which corresponds to the Bema from which Paul had preached. According to
information, Paul’s audience here consisted mostly of gentiles and especially of the noble women. This was Paul’s
last stop in Macedonia before continuing on to Athens. We then drive to Thessaloniki where we spend the next two
nights. Breakfast .www.imperialhotel.gr

of the ancient Roman highway) to Phillipi, where Paul preached his first sermon in Europe and baptized a certain
woman named Lydia, Europe’s first convert to Christianity. View the Roman City Forum and early basilicas and see
where Paul was flogged, imprisoned and later released. Return to Thessaloniki in the evening where you will enjoy a
farewell dinner.Breakfast and dinner.www.imperialhotel.gr

the 11th century. According to tradition this church was built on the place of Martyrdom Synagogue, where Paul had

patmos
The Jerusalem of the Aegean’ is one way of describing Patmos or Patnos, as it was referred to in one 5th century
inscription. It was here that St.John Theologian was exiled between 95 and 97 A.D. and was inspired to write the Book
of Revelation or Apocalypse. Leter the emperor Alexios Komninos ordered the Monk Christodoulos Letrinos to found
a Monastery in honour of the Apostle. Thus the holy monastery of Patmos was built, the most important landmark on
the island. In September 1995 it was celebrated the anniversary of the 1900 years from the date that the Book of
Revelation was written.Patmos, situated between Leros and Ikaria, is a mountainous island with rocky soil and
abundance of smaill coves. The majestic fortress-monastery crowns the hill above the port, surrounded by dazzling
white cubelike houses which spill down its flanks. Interspersed among them are minuscule churches and grand sea
captains’ mansions, separated from each other by narrow lanes, high walls and smaill squares opening onto
breathcatching views over the Aegean. The construction of the monastery began in the 11th century. It is circumscribed
by massive grey stone walls with battlements that protected the main church and another five chapels. Its extraordinary
treasury contains Byzantine and post-Byzantine icons, sacredvessels, 9th century embroideries and other priceless
objects, while its library houses parchment documents, patriarchal seals, enlightened manuscripts and rare old books. In
the chapel dedicated to Our Lady Frescoes can be seen which date back to 1210-1220. Ships arriving at Patmos dock
in the island’s harbour,Skala, a lively place with its white houses, flowered courtyards, fish
tavernas,hotels,restaurants,cafes and shops

Cavo Tagoo – Mykonos Town
Cavo is one of the top luxury hotels on Mykonos. It sits on a rise between the two ports and you can watch
the ferries and cruise ships come and go through the day and the sun set into the Aegean at night. Mykonos

The hotel’s Japanese restaurant, Kiku, has the best sushi on Mykonos.
Astra Suites – Imerovigli
Many magazines have called Astra Suites the best hotel in Greece and it’s hard to summon much
of an argument. Suites are huge and beautifully decorated. All have a kitchenette and private
terrace. The infinity pool looks out into the caldera and sunset views are among the best on the
island.
Belvedere Suites – Firostefani o simiral
Views and location are 5 star. Rooms are not in the luxury category but still nice and good value.
Suites are worth the extra money (for the view).
Grace Santorini – Imerovigli
Grace is one of the most talked about hotels on Santorini. It has amazing views of the caldera and
sunset and looks out on the iconic Skaros Rock. All rooms are unique and enchanting. The
